what I have done today 29th april

in todays lessons i say lessons because i have had three lessons to do this i have encountered a lot of problems with flash things kept on coming up and i have had to deel with them with the help of my teacher but i eventually overcome them but what these challenges have done is waist time for me so i am a little behind on schedule but i will complete this by the end of the week

this is what i have created in flash so far

the Idea

The idea that me and my team have come up with is that we have decided to do a parody of harlem shake with cartoon characters so what the idea is, is me and Lewis the director are going to pick three of our favourite cartoon characters and we have decided that we are only aloud to pick three of our our favourite cartoon characters mine are 

1. Johnny bravo

2. Dexter out of Dexter's laboratory 

3. spongebob squarepants

practical issues and planning with new project

To start of with since we are doing a flash animation the first software is adobe flash to create the animation. We are using flash because it is the industry standard and me as an animator i have only been introduced to that software so it will make things easier than using a software i know how to use that learning how to use another piece of software to animate.

 The other software we are going to be using will be: adobe premiere to edit because again it is the industry standard.

and Google chrome for our blog post and to obtain any imaged we might need to use providing where we got them images from and also in case we need a tutorial to look at.

to communicate with the director threw the comment system.


the hardware we will be using will be a mac and thats about all the hardware.

our crew consists of 2 people the director of the project Lewis Raywood and me the animator James Carling.

Target audience

for the target audience we will be aiming it at 16+ because we are in college and that is who will be viewing this college students so the age is unpredictable but you do have to be 16 to start college so that is why we have chosen 16+.

(we have no props or models)

for our time management to animate we have two lessons to animate what we can if we have not finished by then we will continue animating in our own time and for editing another two lessons to edit which will plenty of time. 

My role in the new challenge

In the new challenge we have been separated into groups and I have one person with me, Lewis. In this challenge we were told to go out and make something new and be able to apply leardership skills in the project we  had three thing we could choose from they where: video , computer aniamtion aka Flash or there and stop-motion aniamtion aka clay aniamtion, lego ect we chose to do computer based aniamtion because me and lewis are both skilled in that programme and we thought it would make it easier on both of us.

We are going to make a short animation using Flash because that is the industry standerd software and it is less comlicated to use we do not have a long timeframe to accomlish this so we want to choose the programs that we are familer with so it goes faster.

My role in this new challenge is the animator of the project so what that means is i will be the one who makes our idea an actaul thing using my own knowladge in Adobe flash and me and lewis will talk about what we want to do and i will give my input on if we could actaully do that using the software that we have availebele to us.

This will help me develop my leadership skills through the anaimtion side because lewis may be the director but he does not have the knowledge i do off flash so with him next to me iI can develop my leardership skills by helping him devolop his skills in animation by teaching him what I know.

Lewis' job inb the project is to direct and make sure that all stages go according to plan and schedule.
I will then look for possible characters to use and place them onto flash and parts of them move in a funny way.  My main role is is to make tcharacters move on screen and colour them in. This will be trough either retracing the original graphic or developing and editing original ideas straight into Flash where there will be no copyright involved

The skills I will develop in this project are the skills i already have but with this project I will be able to develop them further to be able to add more creative graphics and better quality animations.
